STTF Staff Member
Lucy Simnett - COMMUNITY CAMPAIGNER
Lucy joined the Stop the Toad Foundation as a volunteer at the
Great Toad Muster in 2007, and has been involved with STTF ever
since. Working as a volunteer, Lucy has been involved in organising
and running the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Musters. Now as a Community
Campaigner for STTF, Lucy is enthusiastic about her role in promoting
community awareness and providing support to communities in their
fight against the cane toad invasion.
Lucy studied a Bachelor of Arts at La Trobe University in Nature
Tourism. She has worked as an environmental contractor since this
time in a variety of roles; from tour guiding and environmental
education, to assessing bicycle infrastructure and implementing
environmental technology.
She has a strong commitment to on-ground action and is constantly
amazed, motivated and humbled by the volunteers and staff around
her and their passionate efforts and tireless work in combating
cane toads.
The Great Toad Muster 2010 will be Lucy’s fourth muster and
she looks forward to continuing the fight against the toad.
