ROSH IRELAND - Director of Environmental Policy

Rosh Ireland is the Western Australian Government's representative
to the Board of Management of the Stop the Toad Foundation. Rosh
is the Director of Environmental Policy at the Department of the
Premier and Cabinet, a position he has held since early 2003. His
work covers climate change, waste and pollution, natural resources
management, coastal and heritage issues.
Rosh holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from James Cook University
of North Queensland in marine biology and biochemistry.
Before moving to Western Australia, Rosh lived in Brisbane (on
a houseboat on the Brisbane River for two years) and worked with
the Queensland Government on environmental and natural resources
policy issues, including regulation of mining and protection of
the Great Barrier Reef from land based run-off.
Rosh is originally from Canberra and has also worked in a variety
of environment related positions for the Commonwealth government.
